Driver Requirements

What are the driver requirements?

Drivers must:

• Hold a full UK driver’s licence for at least 2 years
• Be aged between 25 and 70
• Have no more than 6 penalty points within the last 5 years
• Have no driving bans within the last 10 years
• Have no more than one accident in the past 3 years

Drivers over 75 years old may need to be referred to our insurers for approval before booking.

If you have more than 6 penalty points, please contact us by phone before making a booking to confirm whether we can accommodate your hire.

What documents do I need to bring when collecting my vehicle?

At the time of rental, you must present:

• A full driving licence (UK, EU, US, Canadian, Australian, or New Zealand only)
• Two recent utility bills (e.g. bank statement, phone bill, or electricity bill) as proof of address

Note: Licences from other countries are not accepted

Is Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) included in my booking?

No, CDW is not included in the standard booking.You can add CDW during checkout for an additional premium. This reduces your insurance excess by 75%, as shown on your rental agreement.

If CDW is not selected, you remain fully responsible for the full insurance excess.

Standard Liability Without CDW:

• Mini, Economy, and Compact vehicles: Full deposit (as advertised)
• All other vehicles: Full deposit (as advertised)

What is your Fair Usage Policy (FUP)?

All hires include a free mileage allowance of 71–80 miles per 24-hour period.

Any additional mileage will incur excess mileage charges.

Your exact FUP mileage allowance and excess mileage rate will be detailed in your booking confirmation email.
